Enjoy a ‘Ruddy Good Staycation’ this Bank Holiday Weekend!

Following the success of VE Day and Father’s Day hampers, Ruddington businesses have united once again to bring residents a ‘Staycation Hamper’.

Many of us have had our holiday plans cancelled or changed this summer, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy everything that is on our doorstep this bank holiday weekend. So, why not order your hamper and enjoy a ‘Ruddington Staycation’?

The hamper has everything you need to enjoy a stay in our village this weekend. How about taking the vegetable quiche from Black Cat Café, the flavoured cashew or peanuts from The Frame Breakers and the fruit scones from The Old Bakehouse along to the Rushcliffe Country Park for a picnic?

Or enjoy a BBQ at home with either burgers from Ruddington Village Butchers or beetroot, chickpea and fennel burgers from The Ruddington Arms. Wash it down with a can of ‘House Party’ beer from The Bottle Top or a freshly brewed coffee made with Split Screen Coffee.

If you are out and about in the village for your staycation, don’t forget you need to wear a mask in shops. The hamper has that covered with a Britmask and to keep your hands germ free, you can use hand sanitizer from the Ruddy Fine Distillery.

Leia is including a “Staycation Hamper” 5% off voucher for whenever you’re ready to book you next vacation

No holiday is complete without the kids asking “are we nearly there yet?” and so, to keep them entertained, the hamper has a travel games pad from the village travel expert, Leia Morales – Travel Counsellor. For travel further afield the hamper also includes a 5% off voucher for your next holiday booked with Leia.

Lastly, to brighten up your staycation (whatever the weather!) the hamper is finished off with a small bouquet courtesy of Phoenix Flowers.

So you can support Ruddington businesses this bank holiday by heading over to the Ruddington Village Market website and ordering your ‘Staycation Hamper’ for £30 >>HERE<<.

Collections will take place on Friday 28th August and Saturday 29th of August from 9 to 11am or 2 to 4pm from The Next Episode. Why not enjoy a coffee or treat yourself to brunch when you collect, with a 10% off eat-in food and drink at Dutton’s Hill venue? It’s an offer only available when collecting your hamper.

Organisers say plans for further village hampers are underway – so keep an eye out for future Halloween/Bonfire night and Christmas hampers later in the year!

‘House Party’ beer from The Bottle Top is among the hamper items displayed here – outside their High Street shop
